Here we are at the end of another year in the life and times of Wolverton Town Band.
I would like to say special thanks to you all for your help and committment throughout the year to make it such a fun band to play for.
I would like to especially thank our secretary Melanie, who works very hard on our behalf behind the scenes to make it easy for me to chair the committe.

Well another year and another visit from our Twin Band from Ploegsteert, Belgium.
As usual it was great to make contact and see some of the old faces back in Wolverton. The Belgians stayed either in the Roman Rooms or the Crauford Arms hotel. They arrived mid morning on Saturday and it wasn't long before we got on to the business of socialising.

Perry has ordered some new scales and arpeggio books for the learners band. The current learners having been doing very well and are ready for some new challenges, so the books which will expand their knowledge of the theory of music through scales and arpeggios, have been purchased.

Perry , Jeff and Lucy are all signed up for a nationally acclaimed conducting course run by Bedfordshire based Michael Rose. The 3 will spend the day with Michael in July learning new baton techniques and ways of leading a large ensemble.
