We are currently looking to take players into all sections of the band.
We are in the process of rebuilding the band and as such we need to recruit players of a reasonable standard with a view to returning to contesting in the near future.
We would welcome any players of any standard to make up our learner band and we can teach Brass from scratch if needed. All ages and backgrounds are welcome, (we are an equal oportunities organisation). It is best practice for younger players to complete their oral developement before starting to play a brass instrument, so as not to cause problems with teath and gums in the future.
If you are not sure whether or not you can play a brass instrument, contact us and we can make arrangements for you to meet one of our bandsmen for a one to one try out one rehearsal evening.
We can provide instruments in most cases, and where applicable, we can insure your own instrument on our band insurance.
