The oldest brass band in the Milton Keynes area
24 December. Our final performance of 2016 - playing by the Christmas tree in The Square earlier today.
Probably the best crowd to have ever attended our annual event; this year with the Pyrofinalia Fire Collective and lots of locals joining in with the carols.
Thanks to the fire-eaters for a spectacular display, to everyone who turned out, and all those who have supported the band during the year. Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year!
CAROLLING AT TESCO SUPERMARKET
18 December. Today, the band provided some festive cheer by playing lots of carols to Christmas shoppers in the Tesco supermarket in Wolverton.
Many thanks to everyone who supported the band, especially those who donated.
CHRISTMAS BRASS CONCERT
17 December. In what has also become an annual event, the band played at its Christmas Brass Concert.
This year's event was very well-attended and took place in the beautiful surroundings of St George's Church in Wolverton. The crowd was treated to an evening of festive favourites, complete with Christmas refreshments.
HECTIC FESTIVE WEEKEND
11 December. The band had its busiest weekend of the festive period so far this year. On Saturday, it played outside Waitrose in Oakgrove, which was followed by an appearance at the Milton Keynes Village Lantern Festival.
On the Sunday, the band performed at the MK Feast at Bradwell Abbey and then at the Christmas Winter Wonderland event at the Community Orchard in Wolverton.

3 December. In what has become an annual appearance, the band played at the Wolverton Lantern Festival, the biggest and oldest lantern festival in the area.
The band kept everyone entertained in The Square while the lanterns paraded round the town.
CAROLLING AND COLLECTING ROUND THE STREETS OF WOLVERTON
1 December. The band began five evenings of stomping the streets of Wolverton playing Christmas carols and collecting.
In its annual tradition in the town, the band attracted lots of attention with people coming out to listen, take photos and join in the festive spirit.
13 November. The band was once again both proud and privileged to play at the Wolverton Remembrance Sunday memorial and parade.
There was a good attendance and Heidi did us proud playing the Last Post.
SEPTEMBER SOIREE AUTUMN CONCERT
17 September. The band's Autumn concert was a September Soirée with a twist. It was an evening of our usual great brass music but this time we gave a practical introduction to the developer group, and members of the audience were given a chance to try out a brass instrument for themselves!
MEMORABLE ORDER OF THE TIN HATS PARADE
4 September. The band played at the M.O.T.H. annual memorial parade in memory of those who gave up their lives or were injured in war.
WOLVERTON ON SEA, COMMUNITY ORCHARD
17 July. A lovely sunny day for entertaining local residents at the Wolverton on Sea family fun day at the Community Orchard - complete with paddling pools and ice creams. Thanks to everyone for a good performance and well done to our developers who took part in four pieces and enjoyed the afternoon.
ALBERT FRENCH MEMORIAL EVENT, THE SQUARE, WOLVERTON
15 June. The band supported the Wolverton community celebrate the centenary of the death of local lad, Albert French, at the tender age of 16 near Ploegsteert in World War One. The event took place in The Square and included speeches, the playing of the last post and the laying of a wreath.
ALBERT FRENCH MEMORIAL EVENT, MK ROSE
12 June. The band participated in the event to celebrate the death of 16-year-old Rifleman Albert French who lived in Wolverton and was killed in the First World War near Ploegsteert in Belgium.
The centenary event took place at the MK Rose, Milton Keynes.
RIVERSIDE FAIR, STONY STRATFORD
11 June. Today, the band played at the Riverside Fair in Stony Stratford.
It was a family fun day with community stalls, things to buy and lots of children's activities. It was a busy event and lots of people took advantage of the good weather to relax, have a picnic and listen to the band.
CASTLETHORPE DUCK RACE
5 June. Today, the band played in glorious weather at the 'world-famous' Castlethorpe Duck Race.
Attended by thousands of people, the event included a dog show, lots of stalls and children's activities, plus hundreds of yellow plastic ducks floating down the river Tove!
SPRING BRASS CONCERT
14 May. The band's first public concert of the year took place in the Old Bath House Community Centre in front of another packed audience. It was a brilliant event and included some special performances by our developers, a hunting horn and a very big gong!
2 May. The band played at the Bank Holiday MK Marathon. The band performed supporting passing runners on an old railway platform on the Redway Railway Walk (off Bradwell Road) in New Bradwell between 12 noon and 2pm.
CELEBRATING THE QUEEN'S 90TH BIRTHDAY
21 April. The band helped to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday this evening at Milton Keynes Museum where a special birthday beacon was lit. The evening included live music, a beer tent, refreshments in the museum cafe and other entertainment.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
1 January. Happy New Year to everyone. Here's to an excellent year and we wish everyone the very best for 2016. The band's first practice will be on Monday 11 January (main band) and the learners and developers will start back on Thursday 14 January.
